Job Description
Are you a qualified GI actuary with demonstrable reserving experience, looking to join a global reinsurer?
Then look no further because Star Actuarial is representing the ideal role for you.
Taking responsibility for providing actuarial support across the business, you will lead the assessment of the Group’s best estimate reserves across a range of portfolios with varying underlying liabilities.
You will also play a key role in the reporting of the Group’s financial results to the wider business, including the Group Reserving Committee, Executive Management Team and Board.
Alongside performing detailed portfolio reserving reviews, you will be instrumental in driving the implementation of a technology-driven transformation of reserving and reporting processes over the next year.
With strong report-writing and communication skills, the successful candidate will possess strong commercial awareness coupled with excellent IT skills including a high proficiency in Excel.
Experience with standard reserving softwares (e.g. ResQ) is required while Python experience (alongside Lloyd’s or London market experience) is desirable but not essential.
An exceptional career opportunity.
