Job Description
Are you a qualified GI actuary with P&C experience, passionate about financial risk and solving complex problems? Could you bring a fresh perspective to a forward-looking team? Relish the chance to make a genuine impact within a major insurance Group?
Then Star Actuarial is currently representing the ideal role for you.
Analysing and evaluating financial risks using actuarial techniques and models, you will dive into large datasets to uncover trends, patterns and insights that will inform risk management strategies.
You will also utilise your thirst for innovation by bringing creative solutions to the table, ensuring that the firm is always ahead of the curve of a constantly changing landscape of financial services and the risks which arise.
Because this is such a diverse and exciting role, successful candidates are expected to have a broad range of experience, including some (or all) of the following areas: reserving; capital management; model validation; stress and scenario testing; and supporting IFRS17, Reinsurance. and the Internal Model Application Process.
Strong knowledge of Solvency II regulations and exceptional analytical Skills are also required, as is a collaborative methodology and curious mindset.
Exposure to UK motor would be advantageous and 1st line candidates looking for 2nd line opportunities will be considered.
