Job Description
Are you an underwriting expert with strong commercial skills, coupled with advanced knowledge of technical pricing techniques and experience in both personal and commercial lines?
Then this is a fantastic and highly visible opportunity to define and deliver the underwriting strategy of an insurer.
This is a significant role in which you will closely monitor the underwriting portfolio, identifying both risks and opportunities.
You will also contribute to the wider business planning process and risk management process including the Own Risk and Solvency Assessment while providing recommendations for changes to pricing models.
This position offers the chance to utilise your extensive industry knowledge to become the recognised expert on underwriting matters, participating in strategic and governance planning at Board and Executive level.
A positive leader, the successful candidate will be highly skilled in interpreting management information reports and data trend movements.
Additionally, you will possess knowledge of Intermediary and Aggregator systems and how products flow through these systems, alongside experience of project planning and execution, as well as managing within budgets.
