Job Description
Join a fast growing, City-based Consultancy as the first BPA Consultant in the building.
In this busy and varied role, you will support the growing BPA Market Services business, working on projects across the market to help insurer and reinsurer clients with pricing, post-transactions, data and other BPA-related work.
You will bring insight and experiences from your work on BPA transactions or from the wider pensions industry.
The successful candidate will work with the business leader. You will lead on projects and help build out a compelling BPA proposition in this exciting and growing market.
You will also be supporting the firm’s growth in other BPA markets, including Ireland, Netherlands, Bermuda and North America
Requirements:
- Qualified Actuary with a background in Life Insurance or DB pensions (great if you have both!)
- Knowledge and ideally experience of working in the Bulk Purchase Annuity (BPA) space – especially on pricing data and cash flow modelling
- Good understanding of DB pension benefit structures and pensions data
- An understanding of the DB and Solvency UK regulatory landscapes
- Pricing/valuation systems and financial modelling skills (Python a plus!)
- Willing and able to work with senior client contacts at a range of (re)insurers in the UK and beyond
