Job Description
Are you a technically-skilled, systems-oriented consultant? Are you from an actuarial background, perhaps someone no longer studying for the exams? Are you looking for your next career opportunity within a specialist international financial services firm?
Then read on!
This is an exceptional position which involves developing, maintaining and enhancing actuarial systems and processes used across various teams.
Proficient in SQL and Excel (with proven experience), you will develop and maintain SQL code used for reporting, participating in system upgrades, migrations, and implementation of new actuarial software tools.
You will also develop and maintain actuarial systems used for external reporting, pricing, reserving and capital calculations across Solvency II, US GAAP and UK GAAP.
In addition, you will ensure model accuracy through rigorous testing and validation and application of relevant control procedures, documenting system processes, testing of model developments and technical specifications.
With strong analytical and logical skills that can be applied in a systems-based environment, the successful candidate will have a degree or other qualification in a numerical or analytical subject.
RAFM, Unify, Emblem, R, Python and PowerQuery knowledge (or the ability to learn these systems) also required.
A fantastic opportunity to drive technical and systems change and act as a champion of innovative solutions.
