Job Description Apply: Telematics Analyst
The Risk Consulting and Software (RCS) business within Towers Watson primarily focused on the insurance industry, but increasingly serves as a risk specialist across a variety of industries. Our clients include most of the leading global insurers as well as many of the largest financial services companies and other corporations. We have more actuaries serving the insurance industry than any other professional services firm.

Your main responsibilities will be as follows:
- Contribute to the evolutionary development of algorithms to assess motor insurance risk and deliver feedback to drivers
- Help to evaluate the suitability of new technologies and devices for integration with Towers Watson’s product and those of clients
- Research alternative modelling methodologies
- Prototype new product features in conjunction with the product development team
- Provide operational analytics support to client delivery teams
- Build relationships internally and collaborate effectively on cross-functional teams
- Demonstrate natural ease and effectiveness when dealing with client/colleagues at all levels
- Monitor progress to deadlines
- Deliver work products that meet or exceed expectations
The Requirements
- Minimum of a 2:1 degree in any numerate/scientific discipline
- A problem solver, able to identify and solve challenging problems
- Analytical; able to draw conclusions from data in a logical, systematic way
- Experience of mathematical modelling and/or database processing
- Experience of Microsoft Excel and VBA
- Experience of programming with ANSI-SQL or similar is desirable
- Committed to quality; continuously works to achieve the highest quality standards
- Good time management and organisational skills
- Ability to communicate to a non-technical audience
- Ability to work both independently and as a member of a team and enjoy a fast-paced environment
- Results-driven; focused on achieving results that promote business success
