Job Description Apply: SVP, Appointed Actuary, Life & Health
This role is a pivotal position that will be responsible for -
- Accountable for all internal reporting, regulatory, and rating agencies' requirements.
- Ensure that the valuation bases and capital requirements are adequate and compliant with regulatory and rating agency requirements.
- Establish and maintain a robust actuarial model for Asset & Liability Matching, Economic & Regulatory Capital, Accumulation Control, and Valuation on the in-force portfolio.
- Implementation of “best-in-class” internal processes for the actuarial function.
- Peer-review support for pricing on large commercial opportunities.
- Participate in due diligence for M&A activities.
- Working with structure solution team to ensure the deal is soundly priced and comply with regulatory requirements.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with senior executives, especially CFO, CRO, Head of Investment, decision-makers, and key influencers.
As such, they seek a candidate who has -
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant life insurance or reinsurance experience, preferably with regional/international exposure.
- Experience in valuation and corporate reporting required.
- In-depth understanding of regulatory developments and rating agencies requirements.
- Knowledge in regulatory requirement on economic capital (e.g. Solvency II and RBC), with stochastic modelling experience.
- Credible exposure to economic capital modelling.
