Job Description Apply: Snr Model Risk Actuary-Life (long-term) Insurance
A newly created role has arisen for a Senior Model Risk Actuary in the Life Insurance industry in Bermuda for a very highly regarded firm. Your role would involve establishing the appropriateness of model risk management frameworks across a wide range of areas.
This role will focus on reviewing models, challenging them, and developing best in class governance practices to reduce risk. You will gain exposure to some complex business lines across the long-term insurance sector, and so you will be adaptable in how you problem solve. You would also be responsible for being the technical lead on these matters as well as sharing knowledge, coaching and mentoring more junior team members.
This is a role with a lot of stakeholder management, both within the organisation and externally, so you will be a confident communicator. You will be an experienced, qualified life insurance actuary with excellent model risk (or model development) experience.
