Senior Pensions Actuaries
Job Description Apply: Senior Pensions Actuaries
I am working on a number of new roles this January for experienced qualified pensions actuaries who are looking for something different. If you have been qualified for a number of years and working for the same company, it can often be quite difficult to find something which would be a genuinely different and exciting challenge.
One opportunity is for an actuary with previous corporate consulting experience and who is comfortable pitching for and winning new business, for a niche consultancy which specialises in helping a very specific type of client profile. Please contact me for the specifics as I need to be vague on here, but the clients you will be working with would allow you to have a much more personal approach, and you will feel you are having a far more direct impact on the scheme members than you would normally.
You would be providing corporate advice, mainly around de-risking pension schemes of varying sizes, so experience of helping clients to achieve full buy-outs or similar outcomes would be very helpful. You would have a remit for growth - winning new business in your chosen local area. This could be enhancing the existing presence in the South East or North of England, or creating a new local hub.
I am also speaking to actuaries who are seeking a move to become a Professional/Independent Trustee. If you think this kind of move is for you, we should definitely have a conversation, so please get in touch!
Finally, if you are in a trustee advisory role and have been told it's too late to switch to giving corporate advice but would love to, I am working on a Senior Manager level mandate with one of the Big 4 where this is now very much possible.
Please get in touch and I will be more than happy to go into far more detail on a call!
