Senior Modelling Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an individual with specialised knowledge to join the GI Underwriting function as Senior Manger leading a small team.  Modelling weather events in detail is extremely complex and subject to many uncertainties. 

There is a need to offer customers, investors and the regulator assurance that all of these complexities are understood and are as accurate as possible in the models. The successful candidate will have a sound understanding of principles, benefits and weaknesses of catastrophe models, strategic level understanding of weather modelling tools, ideally with a PhD in meteorology, hydrology or a related discipline. 

You will have confident communication skills to present at Executive level, and be aware of the latest developments and emerging risks in the industry.
