Job Description Apply: Senior Investment Actuary
A medium-sized Life Insurer based in the South East have created a new Investment opportunity within their team. This position sits under the Chief Actuary and will be responsible for providing guidance on the business’ investment strategy. You will be working closely with the Investments team, Financial Operations and the wider Actuarial department, responsible for tasks such as monitoring the financial markets, ALM analysis and ensuring methodology and assumptions are robust and kept up to date. You will be sitting on the Investment board alongside the CRO and CFO taking the lead on key aspects of the agenda including the liquidity plan and annual review, making regular presentations and challenging findings.
The ideal candidate would be a qualified, technically strong Actuary with good investment strategy experience either working directly for an Insurer or with a Consulting background. There will be training and support, so this role would suit someone wanting more exposure to investments. As you will have a voice at the board table, strong communication skills and ability to demonstrate working alongside C-Suite stakeholders is necessary.
