Senior Catastrophe Model Developer
Job Description Apply: Senior Catastrophe Model Developer
My client is seeking a seasoned probabilistic and deterministic modeller, to join a catastrophe model development team. Ideally the candidate would have experience of perils (i.e flood, wind, earthquake) , but this is not a pre-requisite. The team build models using R or Python, and having development experinece in these softwares is absolutely a prerequisite. Part of the role will involve deep diving into previous models, troubleshooting problems, and will need an innovative approach to sourcing data when there are no vendor models for certain areas. You will also be a strong communicator, with ideally project management experience. A natural catastrophe background within insurance is ideal, but other backgrounds will be considered.
