Job Description Apply: Senior Actuarial Manager – Investments (Life)
This newly created role sits beneath the Chief Actuary and is responsible for analysing the overall impacts of investment and market risk. As well as this, you will be responsible for developing and advising on the company investment strategy ensuring the SII Internal Model is kept up to date. This role would suit a Qualified Actuary who has significant experience within the Life Insurance sector. You will be working closely with C-Suite stakeholders delivering regular presentations, challenging and sharing ideas so good communication and interpersonal skills are required. Ideally, you will have solid experience working in investment strategy either directly for an insurance company or within a Consultancy.
Day to day duties include:
- ALM analysis, monitoring financial markets and offering guidance to the global investment team on market movements
- Monitoring the UK’s cash position and analysing derivative contracts
- Working closely with the Chief Actuary as well as the Financial Reporting teams to determine appropriate bases and methodologies
- Regularly reviewing group results, maintaining and updating methodologies and assumptions for Investment Market Risk
