Job Description Apply: Senior Actuarial Analyst

Responsibilities:

  • Undertake software and calculation configuration activities using their in-house software packages.
  • Maintain and update the calculation system owned by the team.
  • Work with a team of experienced developers and analysts towards successful implementation of actuarial processes.
  • Understand business requirements to define configuration changes and verifying the success of changes through various testing activities.
  • Translate calculation requirements into system change specifications for use by development teams.
  • Using SQL/Excel to prove changes have been developed to spec.
  • Support clients through the lifecycle of the team’s activities including design, build, test, and implementation.
  • Provide actuarial input for companywide projects, driven by IT & Change or internally, impacting on the existing book of business, including the specification, development, and implementation of solutions.

 

Required Skills and Knowledge:

  • Educated to degree level in a computing / analytical/statistical/mathematical discipline or relevant experience
  • A Level Mathematics Grade A* - A
  • 2 – 3 years experience in Life Insurance pricing
  • The candidate should be a part-qualified actuary
