Job Description Apply: Pricing Actuary
We would like to hear from Life Actuaries who have an interest in Protection Pricing. We would consider a background in annuities or longevity but with a desire to move across to protection and diversify your experience.
The main responsibilities will include; reviewing pricing models; annual re-pricing of portfolio of products; setting and reviewing of assumptions; competitor analysis; reviewing pricing structures, profitability and competitiveness.
This is a great opportunity to help grow or develop your protection pricing experience and work with some of the best talent in the industry. Whilst pricing experience is preferred, we would consider a background outside pricing providing your knowledge of the protection market is strong.
A key element of this position is the ability to communicate complex ideas to a varied audience of both actuaries and non-actuaries and work well with all levels. You will be required to make presentations to senior members of the team. Key experience we’re looking for includes:
- A senior student making strong progress with actuarial exams or a nearly / newly qualified actuary
- Good experience within the life insurance sector, ideally someone who has worked across 2 or move of the following areas: Pricing, Reporting, Modelling, Risk, Capital
- Very strong communication skills
- A background in consulting, insurance or reinsurance will be considered
On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package. Study support will be given to those with remaining papers to sit as well as ongoing training and support for all levels.
