Job Description Apply: Pricing Actuarial Consultant
Goodman Masson are working with a Life Insurance who is seeking a pricing actuarial consultant to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will get to develop their Actuarial knowledge in line with the Actuarial development programme.
Responsibilities:
- Actuarial Consultants are expected to have moved between functions and developed competence in the different cctuarial activities carried out within the business. The five principal activities are Valuation and Regulatory Reporting, Actuarial Systems, Capital and Risk Management, Product Development and Profitability and Financial and Experience Analyses.
- To have a high level of knowledge and be able to play a lead role in at least two of the actuarial activities.
- To have a good knowledge and be able to train staff in two other actuarial activities.
- Carrying out actuarial investigations and analyses and leading project teams as required.
- Training and scheduling of work to ensure that team objectives are achieved and the team becomes a multi-disciplined and flexible workforce.
- Find better ways of performing the team’s work and then make recommendations and successfully implement if the changes are approved.
- To own actuarial tasks, understand the broader business implications and provide actuarial and senior management with comprehensive insight into those tasks and their outcomes.
- To proactively liaise with the broader business, provide expertise and guidance, and lead business thought in areas of expertise.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Student or ex-student actuary with a minimum of 3 years of Actuarial experience or six actuarial examination passes.
- Superior knowledge of at least 2 Actuarial activities.
- Prior pricing experience is advantageous but not required.
