Job Description
Are you a qualified GI actuary with experience in P&C reinsurance industry with a specific focus on quantifying and controlling risk, looking for your next international role?
Then this is a fantastic opportunity to join a major global reinsurer on the beautiful island of Bermuda where you will assess, quantify and manage the risks arising in the P&C segment of the business, ensuring compliance with risk budgets.
Assisting with local regulatory and economic capital calculation alongside scenario analysis (including capital impact analysis), you will be instrumental in supporting business planning and development.
In addition, you will support the model validation for the P&C segment as part of cross functional teams while assisting with the Risk Management Function to assess, develop and recommend effective risk mitigation strategies.
To be successful in the role, you will possess experience in assessing natural catastrophe risk and understanding natural catastrophe simulation models.
Proficiency in actuarial software, risk modelling tools (such as R, SQL or Python) and data analysis techniques also essential.
