Job Description
Leading global consultancy has a unique opportunity for a part-qualified or qualified life actuary (or holder of a STEM PhD) with strong quantitative, machine learning, and data science skills to join its technology team with a focus on machine learning applications.
Designing and developing technology solutions for actuarial clients, you will analyse existing processes and advise on ways in which they can be improved or automated.
You will also develop new functionality in either existing vendor solutions or in bespoke open-source solutions to meet a clients’ need, developing prototypes in new technologies.
In addition, you will apply machine learning to a range of insurance and banking applications.
The successful candidate will possess experience managing a team and running a range of insurance/banking projects, including being responsible for the project management.
You will also have experience of designing, building, and deploying technology solutions, with practical experience of open-source coding languages such as Python and R.
An excellent opportunity to lead innovative thinking on the use of cloud computing, machine learning, open-source software, and new technologies for application in financial services.
