Job Description Apply: Investment Actuary
Goodman Masson are recruiting for an investment actuary to join the credit and actuarial team of an insurer. This will be a brilliant opportunity to step into investment and will set you up for a high-flying career in this area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Understand the risk of asset classes and how they affect the business
- Add value to the team by improving methodologies, calibrations and efficiency of models
- Quantify the risks of new asset classes for credit assets (loans and bonds) that back annuities
- Propose strategies to allow for new assets in existing risk frameworks
Key Requirements:
- Nearly or newly qualified life actuary (by exams e.g. FIA)
- Experience in UK life insurance consulting or UK life insurer
- Experience in methodology and assumptions
- Experience of R or other modelling (desirable)
