Job Description Apply: ILS / Reinsurance Analyst
- Are you an actuarial analyst with some reinsurance treaty pricing experience under your belt?
- Are you interested in working for one of the leading ILS funds in the world?
- Are you able to work in a small, closel knit team, with real responsibilities?
- Do you have good tech skills (perhaps some coding in R/Python) or at the very least do you really understand catastrophe model output?
If so, we would be interested to see your application. Our client is a leading ILS fund with global operations. They need an analyst (ideally with reinsurance experience either from a cat modelling or actuarial pricing background) to work supporting the underwriters. What were are NOT looking for is an underwriter who delegates the modelling work to someone else - this will be a hands on role. The client is also not looking for a "button pusher" analyst - ie someone who just takes input, does something to it, and pushes it back - you need to have some nous and understanding about what you're doing.
You don't need to be taking exams actively and you certainly don't need to be a fellow or associate. You just need to be able to do the work and enjoy working in a closely knit team. You'll be able to work remotely as well.
