This new opportunity as Credit Risk Actuary is responsible for maintaining and challenging the credit risk model. Your role will be to identify and implement changes in order to create a more efficient model and improve overall performance. To be effective in this position, you will have deep knowledge of credit risk exposure and the ability to express your ideas to stakeholders around the business. You will be regularly required to present to senior management both inside and outside of the actuarial team and through persistence and drive will help enable change for the good of the business.

- Working closely with the pricing and investment teams to embed a robust credit risk framework
- Identify and implement model change proposals, carry out validation testing and ensure compliance with government requirements
- Prepare and deliver good quality presentation materials to present to the board, PRA and other relevant bodies
- Provide technical oversite of the credit risk model, lead model calibration exercises as well as interpreting results into meaningful MI
This role would suit a newly qualified actuary with 1 – 4 years post qualified experience. You will have strong communication skills and a desire to contribute to and produce high-quality work. You will have sound experience in credit risk as well as good knowledge of Solvency II, pricing and investment frameworks.
