Job Description Apply: ALM Insurance Investments Actuary/Asset Management
A leading asset management service provider are seeking to hire an ambitious ALM Insurance Investments Actuary. You would interface with their client investors, who are mostly multi-billion pound backed FS institutions, which include insurers and pension funds who are seeking for you to actively manage their investment portfolios to include equity release mortgages on their balance sheets. You would be responsible for quantifying the risk and designing/modelling the portfolio to suit their clients risk appetites and parameters.
To be considered, you will be a capable modelling actuary who can build ALM models (in VBA, Python, R or Matlab). This would best suit a commercially minded actuary who is interested in working in an asset focused role where you will develop the right investment portfolio return (with active management) in line with clients liability curves. You will ideally have had some exposure to equity release mortgages and understand matching adjustments, although, for a very quick learner, this is not essential. You will build cash flow models and undertake asset-liability matching, whilst deriving an appropriate basis for use in the models and presenting to institutional investors. This role will also involve coaching more junior team members.
You will be working for the fastest growing and largest asset management service provider focused in a niche, but rapidly growing asset class, and learning from incredibly well-regarded investment actuaries who are constantly pushing boundaries and inventing new innovative solutions that adapt to market / regulatory conditions.
This role can be performed largely on a remote basis for the right candidate, although in the future would best suit someone with a willingness to meet in person with clients.
Please contact Bradley Grant to discuss this and several other unique opportunities that I am recruiting for.
