Job Description Apply: Projects Actuary
Goodman Masson are recruiting for a consultancy who are looking for a projects actuary to consult for life and health clients across various markets.
The opportunity has come about from the growth of a small team who are looking to welcome the role-holder into the company which strives for bettering diversity and inclusion.
This will be a brilliant opportunity to gain exposure to a variety of projects to progress your career further. There will be opportunities to learn about niche subject areas too.
Key responsibilities:
- Participate in a variety of projects in healthcare/protection
- Model cash-flows for insurers and reinsurers
- Advice on managing liabilities and recommend optimal capital management strategies
- Revise businesses’ projections and make sure they have adequate reserves
- Strategies to manage future costs based on demographics for group risk and income protection benefits
- Manage internal and external stakeholders
Key Requirements:
- Qualified life actuary (by exams e.g. FIA)
- Experience of actuarial modelling and financial reporting
- Experience in Group health or protection products (desirable rather than essential)
- Great communication skills
- You must be eligible to work in the UK - these rules have changed recently so when applying please state your eligibility to work in the UK. (E.g. British passport, Irish passport, ILR, settled status, etc.)
