Job Description
Our client is seeking a talented underwriter (or qualified GI actuary) to join their team as Senior Underwriting & Assurance Analyst where you will use analytical and statistical techniques/models to support the iterative optimisation of the Underwriting Footprint.
In this key role, you will create and maintain analysis programs, tools, and predictive models written in SAS, RADAR, EMBLEM, Python/R and other software packages.
You will also deliver and support analysis to derive the assumptions and inputs for expenses, profit and capital into pricing models and production systems.
In addition, you will provide support for the overall business planning and forecasting process, with particular focus on the Underwriting & Pricing strategy scenario modelling.
With experience gained in a relevant pricing, commercial, or UW role (preferably within the personal lines motor insurance industry), the successful candidate will possess experience with analytical programming languages, such as SAS, Python and R.
Experience with TW Radar essential.
