Job Description Apply: Reserving Analyst / Actuary

Lloyd's syndicate has an opening for a nearly/ newly or ambitious student actuary to work within reserving. Reporting into the head of reserving, there is plenty of opportunity to take on ownership of the reserving and attend reserve committees and really step up.  The business is multi line covering marine, energy, property, A&H and contingency. 

Day to day activities will include: 

Performing the initial quarterly reserving reviews, peer-reviewing work of other analysts and presenting results of review to actuarial management.
Supporting reserving team in meeting management and regulatory reporting requirements for the Syndicate, Head Office and Lloyd’s.
Performing the regular calculation of Solvency II Technical Provisions in line with relevant guidance and external reporting requirements.
Contributing to the development of the reserving process and related databases, applications and systems.
Working with external parties (auditors, consultants, Lloyd’s) as required to support the Syndicate’s external audit and validation processes.
Assisting in the provision of the Solvency II Technical Provisions data to the capital modelling team and the parameterisation of the reserving risk component of the Internal Model.
Working with pricing actuaries, exposure and claims management and underwriting to ensure reserving MI is kept up-to-date.
