Our client is one of the UK's leading pensions, investment and benefit consultancies. The firm operates as an independent partnership and prides itself on an innovative, client focused approach.

The Role

As part of our continued growth we have identified a requirement for an Investment Consultant with a focus on DC to strengthen the practice's client facing capability and to play an important role in both the support of existing and development of potential new clients.

Key Responsibilities (not exhaustive)

  • Providing investment advice to both trustee and corporate clients primarily on DC investment issues. Initially, there may be a requirement to also support our DB consultancy.
  • Advising a portfolio of clients
  • Delivering high quality, expert investment advice employing innovative solutions
  • Developing business - active involvement in client 'prospecting', relationship building and new business pitches
  • Contributing to business wide DC initiatives to facilitate cross selling
  • Activities designed to build and enhance the practice and firm's profile through networking, speaking at appropriate conferences and other forums
  • Developing the DC consulting capabilities of the practice by contributing to the research into DC investment solutions, as well as coaching and mentoring team members
  • Adhere to the firm's Information Security standards, policies and procedures.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Likely to be FFA/FIA or CFA qualified - may be authorised to give investment advice via another qualification or experience
  • Performing a similar role in a consultancy environment, or similar experience gained in a fund management or other relevant investment sector.
  • A solid understanding of the legislative framework for UK pension schemes.
  • Strong commercial awareness of the pensions and employee benefits market
