Job Description Apply: Head of Actuarial Pricing

Our client is one of the largest insurance companies in UK and is currently looking to hire a Head of Actuarial Pricing to take responsibility for the achievement of commercial objectives in relation to the bulk and individual annuity business.

In this role you will work closely with other members of the annuities pricing team, as well as interact with Finance and Capital Management. This unit has been created to drive the commercial agenda of our client and ensure a greater balance between cash generation and investing in the long term  health of their business.  

Key Responsibilities:

  • Balance of both technical and actuarial pricing needs,
  • Identify opportunities which add value to the business, through the adjustment of  technical pricing
  • Develop pricing frameworks and modelling methodology,
  • Review and challenge assumptions, technical pricing basis and models to drive improvements and identify new opportunities,
  • Work closely with the actuarial team to review profitability results.

Desired Skills

  • The ideal candidate will be a qualified actuary
  • Strong retail or bulk annuity pricing experience
  • Strong quantitative modelling, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Solid understanding of financial instruments, asset and liability modelling in addition to financial risk analysis.
