Job Description Apply: Capital Reporting Actuary
A prestigious life insurer are seeking to hire a technically minded Capital Reporting Actuary for a role within their most lucrative business line. Due to the huge success of this business, you would be given exposure to overseeing a dynamically moving balance sheet with huge numbers to report on. You would be involved in ad-hoc recalculations of the SCR and of validating and analysis of the internal model results. You would be involved in undertaking analysis of impacts from internal model changes, calibration and validation of the capital pricing model, stress and scenario testing on the capital position and internal model approach reviews. You would ideally have experience of Asset modelling and understanding how the balance sheet reacts under stress. Annuities SII capital reporting is helpful experience.
This role has a lot of interaction with stakeholders across the business and offers excellent longer-term internal career prospects based on the amount of teams that this role faces off closely with. Candidates from a consulting background wishing to move into a life insurer role for the first time would be considered in addition to more experienced actuaries from the industry. You should be between nearly qualified level up to 5 years PQE to be considered. More experienced actuaries can also be considered.
